A little bit about me!
Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the internet — my own website that serves as a personal, but tries-to-be-a-professional repository of stuff I find interesting about technology (old, new, current, nerdy, useful, etc.)
My name is Hayden LaCelle. I am a Computer Engineering major, currently in my 2nd year at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. I’ve been interested in technology since I was a little kid, and now I’m working to make it a part of my career: making new, cool stuff that helps, entertains, and or educates people about the amazing things technology is able to do.
Before I get on to the rest, I probably should put a face to the name. So, please have this picture of my LinkedIn header.

As you can see, I currently work at my college’s IT helpdesk, mainly helping people reset their passwords and whatnot. However, I do get to do some pretty cool work also: working with videoconferencing equipment for classrooms, messing around with enterprise software (Office 365 and Jira; I apologize for any trauma I just caused), getting to discover new software to help people with, and a variety of other miscellaneous items. Plus, I get to improve my communication skills, which is kind of important for an engineering major.
Previously, I worked at the Lake Stevens School District as a computer repair technician. I think that’s pretty self-explanatory what that entailed. Overall, I love working with hardware and software, so you can expect to see a little bit of both in my content.
What’s the point of this website?
I wanted a place where I could just throw up whatever I wanted about technology I saw around me, and what better place than a Substack site? (This is not a solicitation for similar hosting providers to send me marketing emails.) Plus, I love to connect with people. One of my main goals is to ensure that you are at least one of these things: entertained, excited, hungry to learn more, and/or coming out of it learning something new.
I don’t have a set schedule nor exact formula, at least yet. That may come with age and as I learn what works, what doesn’t, and a little more about what my focus will be on. But for now, you should expect to see content whenever I publish it. If I schedule something, I will make sure to announce it!
On the topic of connecting with people, I also plan on occasionally hosting subscriber chats on hot topics (mostly current news) whenever I’m wanting to gather the viewpoints of readers. So, you can click below and join the chat, so you don’t miss out when a new chat topic begins!
That’s really all I have for now. I’ll have contact information below, if you want to reach out to me! But other than that, I appreciate you taking the time to read this! If you’re interested and want to stay updated, click the button below! I hope to see you around!
(You can also check out my social media links here!)
How can I contact you?
The best way is through email. You can send an email message to digicomm@haydendoestech.com, and if it’s something that warrants a response, I will make sure to get back to you!
However, please allow a little bit for me to respond. I get very busy at times and have lengths of time where I’m unable to check my email. I appreciate your patience!
If it’s something more casual and you’re not too worried about receiving a quick response, sending a message through one of my social media channels is also okay!
